iPhone 8 to make debut in 2018 - Release date, Price and Specification

The iPhone 8 is one of the most awaited smartphone of the year 2017 however whether we will see the company announcing iPhone 8 (and iPhone 8 Plus) this year is still a myth. There is no as such official news of confirmation from techie that new iPhone will surely be called iPhone 8. Some analysts and major tech blogs believe that since the iPhone is going to be ten years old, the company will have all together a new iPhone featuring many new features and advanced specifications.

However, if we look at the release patterns that tech giant has followed for the release of "Numbered" iPhone and the "S"(so called upgraded version), it indicates that new iPhone must be called iPhone 7S and iPhone 7S plus instead of iPhone 8.

We see how the company first announced iPhone 4 followed by iPhone 4S next year. The same patter we saw for iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S. It continued for iPhone 6 (and 6 Plus) and iPhone 6S (and 6S plus). So technically, we should get iPhone 7S (and iPhone 7S Plus), not the iPhone 8 !

But as I said above, the company is completing ten years of success for its smartphone and want to do something special to celebrate this milestone. We could see iPhone 8 making debut during the same month this year as we saw iPhone 7 last year. The new iPhone 8 release date can be set during the second week of September.

If we talk about the features, analysts believe the company is working on to implement curved edge design for new iPhone with OLED screen. It wouldn't be as much curved as Galaxy S7 at the edges though.

The other interesting news comes from the Mirror.co.uk which talks about wireless charging. If it is so, the customer will have convenient way of charging their iPhone. It can be charged at a distance of 15 fee !

The other important  decision that company seems to be taking is removal of traditional home button. There was much rumored about the same topic when iPhone 7 was scheduled for release. It was expected that Apple will remove HOME button from iPhone 7 but it couldn't happened. This news seems coming out to be true for iPhone 8 and the company may bid adieu to Home button for making bigger screen available for other purposes such as replying to emails, playing games conveniently.

Since the new iPhone will have some interesting features and latest technology, the customers might need to spend a little extra money than what they'd have ever spent for purchasing any model. Anything which uses latest technology and advanced hardware is priced bit higher. However, the company would have to keep in mind the pricing strategies of rivals too because if the price of new iPhone exceptionally higher, the customers might think about switching to other available smartphones.
